{FD} US diplomat apologizes after Indonesia general denied entry

A U.S. diplomat apologized to Indonesia's government after the top Indonesian general was prevented from traveling to Washington and said Monday the military commander is welcome in the U.S. Erin McKee, the deputy U.S. ambassador to Indonesia, did not explain why Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo was prevented from boarding a flight to the U.S. but said the matter had been resolved.

{FD} Toll rises in Malaysian landslide; 11 foreign workers dead

Rescue workers have located two more bodies buried by a landslide in a construction site in northern Malaysia, bringing the death toll to 11. Fire and rescue official Mohamad Rizuan Ramli said the body of a Bangladeshi was retrieved early Monday but rescuers were still trying to bring out the body of a Malaysian trapped deep under the rubble.
